Columbia, SC, April 29, 2020 — Since the CoronaVirus has taken its toll on South Carolina, Century Glass put on their creative thinking caps, quickly, with how to best protect essential workers. Installing both temporary and permanent glass partitions for grocery stores, convenient stores, office environments and more.
COVID-19 began hitting South Carolina during March 2020. Since then, Century Glass has been installing glass partitions around the Midlands and down to the coast of Charleston.
Glass partitions or sneeze guards are a high-quality pane of glass or plexiglass that functions as a divider between customers and employees. The glass partitions Century Glass have been installing for the past three months are acting as a temporary divide between employees and customers. These are assisting companies to feel more secure while their employees are hard at work and exposed to the elements.
Kay Hightower, Program Manager, Supportive Services and Outreach Unit stated, “the Department on Aging was ecstatic when Century Glass called our office out of the blue and said they wanted to help seniors! They are wonderful corporate citizens.”
Century Glass and SCDOA are already making plans for this to become an annual program between the two companies. If you meet the qualifications set forth by SCDOA but are unable to participate this year, Century Glass is booking for December 2020.
Wright stated, “…while we are hopefully nearing the end of COVID-19’s first round, we are going to continue installing glass partitions for companies since flu season will be here sooner than we think.”
